Rather hidden apart, but had a menus through to the roadside which means you know if you are there! Very close to the huge Mosque, on the primary street through Batu Ferringhi. We were informed the Boatman was previously a garage so it's not really verylarge for a eating place, but has outside seating on the tiny lane before the main part. Uncertain if it's family run, however the cooking will be all done to purchase so is wonderful and warm, and the services is excellent - our waitress understood what everything had been and helped us pick from the largish menus. There is also a large selection of beverages both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, juice, milk based beverages etc. We'd Satay, Stirfried Pork and Sizzling Prawns with rice both of us enjoyed our foods and would go once again when in Penang.

My hubby really enjoyed the nice and sour prawns which he previously frequently, always a lot of prawns and incredibly tasty. Always greeted with the smile. The food is definitely good and delicious but it’s this type of shame they will have had to restriction there menu due to covid and only open up at weekends I really do think they're losing plenty of business
