It gives me excellent please to create this evaluation. Umi's Nasi Campur is really a concealed gem of a eating place we found unintentionally after being suggested it by some regional Malays store owners. I've had Nasi Campur most of Malaysia and Singapore which isalways tasty however Umi's is really a cut above the rest I've tried. The restaurant is really a traditional Malaysia street side restaurant serving traditional nearby foods (Nasi Campur). It's filled up with mainly local's, certainly we had been the only real two western individuals there. Umi the dog owner was very helpful and spoke great english, was a lot more than happy to chat us through the choices of dishes available. In case you are from the west you might not be utilized to the rustic road side local setting, nevertheless the food is certainly worthwhile particularly if you will want local knowledge. My hesitant wife who's usually very specific about street food cannot get enough. In our short stay static in Pinang we visited here twice, I wish we were here longer therefore i could taste even more of Umi's dishes. Frankly I'm amazed that their isn't already a vacation adviser listing for Umi, nonetheless it is really a small local cafe. From speaking with Umi all her meals are do-it-yourself by her everyday, her satisfaction of her make was obvious. There is absolutely no webpage, address or phone number, you have to think it is from the map location here. It really is only open up for lunch and incredibly busy around lunchtime, with the food sold-out by around 2-3pm. A must try may be the sambal eggplant, every dish you can tell was made out of fresh elements and a unique authentic taste. We like good authentic asian foods, this might have to be among the best meals I've tasted and incredibly reasonably priced.

We have now gone to Penang three times and everytime we head to this place. This can be a must head to place!! You will not see this on any map....very surprised about this. This is situated in Batu Ferrenghi while watching Ferrenghi Inn. Thefood is exceptional, the provider is great. Ummi speaks excellent English and usually the lady sitting close to the front of your kitchen writing down everything you are serving yourself. The costs are ridiculously cheap. You'll mostly see residents there. We had been the only real westerners in the area.

It is a stall on a walkway opposite the 7-11. Went for lunch time, expecting some inexpensive and tasty food. A bowl of rice, one veggie, a boiled egg plus some sort of beef stew place me back again by RM 18.00. The beef was nearly all definitelyuncooked - tough and chewy. Actually, I spat out every little bit of beef. When I complained to the dog owner, a Malay woman, just about all she had to state was that no-one else had complained. She refused to exclude the costs for that miserable beef.

Meals is delicious and the dog owner is friendly. Mostly individuals having lunch there exists a tourist rather than Ferringhi people. Unfortunately the meals for me personally are overpriced. Just had lunch time there if another Malay cafe close.
