Another morning, another breakfast spot! Today, team YummyAdvisor got the chance to visit Lontong Paru Power in Semenyih! Although they have been running their store for only three months now, they still receive a good number of orders from in-store and online visitors! The store is strategically located on the roadside of Jalan Bangi Lama, around 20 KM from Kajang town. The ambience and surroundings of Lotong Paru Power are very cooling, peaceful, and quiet as it is located in the village area of Semenyih. Lontong Paru Power has ample space next to their store, making it very easy for their customers to park their vehicles.
Without wasting any more of your precious time, let’s get right into their food! For starters, we had a bowl of “Lontong Paru”. Lontong Paru is a compressed rice cake (Nasi Impit) served with the rich coconut and vegetable gravy, chicken lungs sambal (sambal paru), and hard boil eggs. For someone who passionately dislikes sambal paru, I actually enjoyed it for the first time in my life. The dish looked spicy when it arrived, but to my surprise, the sambal paru was truly sweet, and the paru had a very chewy texture. Yummy! The whole dish had a solid creamy taste with just a slight hint of spice. Overall, it was delicious & is definitely a winner.
Apart from the Lontong Paru, we had their Nasi Lemak Ikan Keli, which was as good as their Lontong. Personally, I love Nasi Lemak, and I enjoyed this one! The nasi lemak sambal was not too spicy and tasted a little sweet. It was just delicious. The catfish (Ikan Keli) tasted fresh, and the texture was moist, soft, and perfectly cooked. Overall, this Nasi Lemak was amazing!
Apart from main dishes, Lotong Paru Power also serves traditional Malaysian cakes and snacks like curry puffs, doughnuts and many more. Give them a visit and trust me, you will reward your tastebuds with a jackpot!
Summing it up, the team enjoyed themselves at breakfast here, and I am sure you will too! Also, Lontong Paru Power is currently having a promotion in conjunction with the 15th Malaysian General Elections on 19 November 2022. Get two sets of Lotong Paru for RM 15.
