Chill With A Cup of Coffee Under The Shades of the Trees at Bluum.RC!

Would you care for some pasta with your coffee too?
Today, we had an impromptu visit to one of the stalls operating by the roadside at Taman Melawati. Among all of the stalls there, one particular vendor stood out to us: a coffee shop named Bluum.RC! Despite being just a stall by the roadside, Bluum.RC managed to create a calming atmosphere due to the decoration of the stall, where they set up a few plants surrounding their stall and a few sailcloth tents to further shield their customers from the hot sun. Let’s see what we ordered from them!
Hot & Iced Americano (RM5), Toffee Nut Iced Latte (8)
Firstly for drinks, my colleagues ordered themselves some Americano to quench their thirsts. When asked what kind of coffee beans they used, they answered with house blend Brazil and Myanmar coffee beans. They also mentioned that some notes could be tasted in their coffee, such as cocoa and blackcurrant. One of my colleagues who ordered hot Americano commented that you could immediately taste the cocoa note upon drinking, but after it has cooled down, then the coffee becomes acidic, and a subtle taste of blackcurrant appears. On the other hand, another colleague ordered the iced Americano and commented that you could immediately taste the acidity of the coffee. As for me, I ordered a cup of Toffee Nut Iced Latte. Obviously, from the name itself, there’s a nutty taste from the latte, but that’s to be expected. Sweet, smooth, and aromatic, I definitely enjoyed the beverage on this sunny day. If you like drinking the type of coffee that’s not too strong, then I would recommend you to try this beverage.
Creamy Thai (RM13)
Moving on to the pasta we ordered, a colleague of mine ordered the Creamy Thai pasta. Warning! I gave his pasta a try, and it was spicy! I did not dare to give it another go, so I asked for his opinion on the Creamy Thai. Since there’s ‘creamy’ in the name of the food, it is essentially carbonara with a bit of a twist, which is the Thai spiciness. The paste is indeed creamy but won’t make you feel queasy. There’s also sliced beef bacon in it as well!
Beef Bolognese (RM12)
Moving on to the dishes, the first one that we ordered was the Beef Bolognese. Upon first glance, I was entranced by the presentation of the dish; with minced meat covered in tomato puree and mozzarella cheese on top, sprinkled with basil leaves and one cherry tomato in the middle of it all, it got me excited to give it a taste. From the first spoonful of the Beef Bolognese, you could taste a hint of spiciness that compliments the sweet and sour taste of the gravy well. The portion of the food contained in this box packaging is quite a lot despite the size of the packaging.
If you’re on the way to Taman Melawati and you feel like you could treat yourself to some pasta or even cookies, do give Bluum.RC a visit as they sell cookies and sandwiches as well!
