I got off the train at PWTC station and met this cafe by chance. This cafe is only 1 to 2 minutes walking distance from PWTC LRT station.
Perfectly located at the riverbank, you can have a beautiful river view that only needs a turn of your head.
This all-day café served breakfast, lunch, teatime, dinner, and supper to fulfil your tummy.
It called D’Sungai Café.
A Brand-New Café to Check-out – You’ll never guess
When I talked to the owner of this café, I found that this cafe just opened two weeks ago. The previous restaurant owner handover this F&B business to them, and they accepted it plus bestowed a new concept for this restaurant.
D'Sungai Café is an open-air and all-day café. You don't have to worry about the limit of choice, but you have to worry about your decidophobia. It is because there is plenty of choices!
It provides western food, rice, noodles, soup, seafood, sizzling food, etc.
The café's owner mentioned that, since it is an open-air cafe, they must create the ambiance that an open-air cafe should have.
There is a mini performing stage every weekend night! The customers are welcome to sing or dance on stage. (How sad ☹, it was lunchtime when I was there. So, I couldn't capture the mini-performing stage.)
The Underrated Featured Drinks – D’Sungai Mocktail
I struggled to pick the meal and drinks since there were a lot of choices. So, the owner recommended I order their featured drink, D'Sungai Mocktail.
When the drink was served, the first thought that came into my mind was it must be sugary syrup water. The first sip had completely deleted the preconception of this D'Sungai mocktail in my mind.
D'Sungai Mocktail is very refreshing, and you can try different layers of taste in this mocktail. The first sip likes refreshing and slightly sour; the second sip is sweet and sour; the third sip is like a mint flavor drink.
A lot of ingredients in this mug of drink, such as Mint leaf, lemon, longan, lemongrass, umeboshi, and sparkling water.
Hissing Sound says Sizzling Chicken is The Best
Sizzling food lover, you will regret if you don't choose Sizzling Chicken in D'Sungai cafe.
Speaking about the gravy of Sizzling Chicken, it is very thick. You can taste thick black pepper gravy. It is absolutely a perfect combo with Yee Mee (noodles). The egg with runny yolk makes the gravy creamier!
The Yee Mee deserved a thumbs-up. As an avid noodle lover, the texture of Yee Mee is more elastic and chewier in bite!
Nasi Asam Pedas Ikan Tenggiri
The taste of Asam Laksa definitely stimulates your appetite! Unlike other Asam Laksa, which is too sweet or sour, the Asam Laksa of D'Sungai cafe hit the average bar. Asam Laksa of D'Sungai cafe goes really well with white rice. Matching with salted egg and Asam Laksa, I asked them to add another bowl of rice for me!
Ikan Tenggiri in D'Sungai Cafe has a stronger flavor and tastes like tuna. It has a delicate flavor with no fishy smell that isn't too harsh or overpowering the taste of Asam Laksa. The buttery texture of Ikan Tenggiri blend together ingeniously with Asam Laksa!
It More Than Just a Café
D'Sungai Cafe is a family-run cafe. The owner mentioned that she hopes everyone who comes here can make themselves at home.
"When you masuk (enter) my cafe, I want you to feel like you are balik (going back) home to have your dinner. The dinner is well-prepared by your family member," the Owner of D'Sungai Cafe said.
