This time the YummyAdvisor team decided to visit PapaGrill Desa Coalfields to try their signature dish, the Sizzling Chicken Grill! This restaurant is one of the best average-priced western restaurants out there! The place was quiet at around 5.30 PM when we got there. Few people were around, and the outdoor seating area was especially chilling and windy.
For starters, My friends and I shared their Sizzling Chicken Grill. The chicken grill was served on a hot plate with black peppercorn gravy. They even included some wedges, mushrooms, broccoli, and carrots as sides. The thing we loved the most was how well the chicken was grilled. It was perfectly grilled, and the meat was incredibly juicy. The black peppercorn sauce had very savoury, with a hint of spice and a fantastic depth to its flavour. The vegetables were fresh, and the mushroom was chewy. Although they were a little salty, the wedges were remarkably soft and well-cooked. This dish is a must-try at PapaGrill Desa Coalfields! Trust us, you won’t regret it.
As a passionate lover of burgers, I knew I had to try out their burgers as well. There were a few, but I went with the Crispo Chicken Burger (RM 19.90), a crispy chicken burger topped off with cheddar cheese and crispy fried enoki mushrooms, and a set of fries. They even added a small bowl of fresh-cut watermelons to the serving.
The burger was delicious! The crispy patty was a little oily, but the meat was tender and juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The fried homemade enoki mushrooms were crunchy and had a smoky taste that paired well with the burger. The burger was tasty, but I didn’t enjoy the fries much. They were soft and well-fried but tasteless. Overall, this meal would be a 7/10 for me.
We had also ordered Blue Ocean and Strawberry Mojito to clench our thirst during and after our meal. The drinks looked aesthetic but tasted even better! Both drinks were mixed with soda, giving them a gassy and carbonated feel. The spearmint leaves in the glass gave them a fresh taste to the drink. The Blue Ocean was fizzy and sweet, while the strawberry mojito had a robust and sweet strawberry taste.
Our team suggests that you try their desserts, especially Nutella Space! A classic waffle with vanilla ice cream, Nutella spread and strawberry toppings. Warm, fluffy Nutella waffles, and rich flavoured vanilla ice cream, name us a better duo!
Summing up, this is an excellent restaurant for bringing your family and friends to have a good meal. Due to the quiet atmosphere here, having quality conversations with your loved ones wouldn’t be an issue! I will plan to revisit the restaurant in the future.
