Attention all spice lovers! We found a store, especially for you. Most Jang & Jones Dining menus are primarily western, Asian, and a few lunch sets. The atmosphere of the café was quiet and peaceful as the time we arrived was off-peak hours. It also has chic and rustic vibes, making it a perfect space to get your photography game on and capture some delicious, mouth-watering images for your Instagram stories or posts.
Jang & Jones Dining is well known for its Smoked Tomahawk steak. The tomahawk steak is a ribeye beef steak, specifically cut with at least five inches of rib bone left on it. The typical tomahawk steak is served grilled, but in Jang & Jones, they are butter smoked for a minimum of 4 hours. Unfortunately, it wasn’t in stock on the day of the visit. Instead, we got to try their Aglio Olio with Marinated Chicken Breasts, Beefy Burger and Masak Lemak Daging Salai with rice!
The Masak Lemak Daging Salai with rice was delicious and was served with fish crackers and cabbage as its side. The gravy was well prepared in the sense that the recipe originates from Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. The spice level on this dish is perfect for Negeri Sembilan peeps' tastebuds. The beef was thinly sliced, and the portion was served generously. If you’re from around Glenmarie and craving some good Masak Lemak Daging Salai, you don’t need to go all the way to Negeri Sembilan for it. Jang & Jones Dining’s Masak Lemak Salai Daging is the real deal!
Although the black burger bun was slightly rigid when served, the beef patty was delicious. The patty was lightly coated with their signature homemade “Jang sauce”. After a bite, you will find the patty as soft and juicy as the wagyu beef. The burger had a slightly smoky taste due to its homemade Jang sauce, and my tastebuds loved it! Onion rings were also included in the burger, adding a salty taste to the smoky burger. Perfect combination if you ask me. The fries served on the side were also really soft and tasted outstanding. The amount of cajun spice added to the fries was perfect, which explains their excellent taste. The beefy burger might have just been the winning dish if it was not for the hard bun. Overall, the burger could be rated a 6.5 out of 10.
With a slightly spicy and smoky taste, their Aglio Olio with Marinated Chicken Breasts & Creamy Mushrooms would be our top pick at Jang & Jones Dining. The texture of the pasta was a little chewy, as how pasta should be prepared. Even their chicken breast tasted smoky and tender. Every bite you take is going to make you want more.
Although the drinks were pretty basic in appearance, they were still delicious and highly refreshing. We had their Ribena Longan and Latte! The Ribena Longan was refreshing and had a unique sweet fruity taste. It is served in a large glass with fresh logan fruits. On the other hand, the latte was a little bitter for my liking, but the steamed milk layer on the top balanced out the taste by giving it a creamy taste to the coffee.
Overall, Jang & Jones Dining would be a fantastic place to visit, whether by yourself or with your family and friends! Y’all should check the place out!
